Welcome to my blog. My name is Alexandra Taylor, more commonly known as Alex. I’m in my mid-twenties and am from Melbourne, Australia. Well a bit south of Melbourne but close enough. I’m working as a Library Assistant at a school on the Mornington Peninsula as well as a local library not far from there as well. I volunteer at the Australian Gay and Lesbian Archives once a week, go to the gym and swim as often as I can. I also am studying Information Studies through Charles Sturt where I’m majoring in archiving. I’ve done a year of Early Childhood Education but decided the babies are far too scary, so instead after my current degree I’m going to do Primary Education, provided I get in of course!
I have also started recently doing freelance web design as well. I am the ‘tech person’ for Queermance where I am in charge of the website and social media: Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and Facebook. Though the others certainly do help out too. I’m also helping out with the promotion of it too. As you can imagine I can be awfully busy at times.
I love libraries, books and history. I’m also a big fan of Web 2.0 and how it can be used in classrooms and teaching as many people to use it as possible. Along that vein, I volunteer for the Chelsea PC Computer Club which helps run Seniors ♥ IT.
